Delivery Policy (Macbeth’s Butchers)

At Macbeth’s Butchers, we take great care to ensure your order arrives in excellent condition, ready for your table.

Delivery Areas

We currently deliver across mainland UK. If you are unsure whether we can deliver to your address, please contact us before placing an order.

Delivery Days

  • Orders are dispatched Tuesday to Thursday
  • We avoid weekend deliveries to protect product quality

Orders placed after [cut-off time, e.g. 12pm] may be dispatched the following delivery cycle.

Courier Service

We use a trusted courier partner operating a next day delivery service.

While next day delivery is the standard, delays can occasionally occur. Our packaging is designed to keep contents safely chilled for up to 48 hours, providing protection in the event of minor delays.

Packaging

All products are:

  • Vacuum packed
  • Packed in insulated boxes
  • Chilled using ice packs or equivalent

This ensures your order remains cold during transit.

On Arrival

Customers are responsible for:

  • Being available to receive the delivery
  • Refrigerating or freezing products immediately

If the parcel is left in a safe place or unattended, this is done at the customer’s risk.

If the contents are still cool to the touch on arrival, they are safe to refrigerate or freeze.

Missed Deliveries

If a delivery is missed or delayed due to:

  • Incorrect address details
  • Customer not being available
  • Failure to collect from a depot

We cannot guarantee product quality and no refund will be issued.

Delivery Delays

While our courier aims for next day delivery, this is not guaranteed.

If your order arrives within a reasonable chilled condition and is suitable for refrigeration, it will be considered fulfilled.

We are not liable for delays outside of our control.

Damaged Parcels

If your order arrives visibly damaged, please:

  • Take photographs immediately
  • Contact us within 24 hours of delivery
