On Saturday, I put 1 pack of mince, 1 pack of stew and 1 pack of links in my big stew pot to cook with carrot, onion, swede and potato. Let it simmer gently for 4 hours, then made gravy and dumplings before serving with crusty bread. There were 7 adults and 1 child round the table and had a big bowl each. Delicious.

We often have beef casserole and this is the very first time that all the meat was tender. Supermarket stewing steak comes from several different cuts, some of which are simply un-chewable. This is the best we have ever used.
