AlbannachThe Albannach Hotel, Lochinver
 

One of our oldest customers, Lesley and Colin at The Albannach have created a really friendly hotel with food to die for.  This has been recently recognised by the gang at Michelin who have awarded them with a well deserved star.  As would be expected given their location, Leslie and Colin really make the most of the local seafood on offer, getting it as fresh as they can.

The Toravaig Hotel, Isle of Skye
 

The Toravaig Hotel is a lovely traditional hotel located on the Sleat Peninsula Toravaigin the southern part of the Isle of Skye run by Anne Gracie and Ken Gunn.  This four star hotel is the last word in luxury with a relaxed atmosphere and a really friendly team.  Head Chef Andy has created a brilliant menu that compliments the hotel’s location, using local produce wherever possible and whatever is in season.  With his fantastic eye for detail, he is hand linking his own sausages (with an extremely long sausage provided by us of course!)

The Duisdale Hotel, Isle of Skye
 

Toravaig’s alter ego, the Duisdale is also run by Anne and Ken on the Sleat Peninsula.  The Duisdale is a recently modified funky modern hotel complete with Michelin Star winning chef Graham at the centre of the Kitchen with his extremely able team.  Toravaig and Duisdale also boast the fact that they are the only hotels in Scotland where you can be taken out in a 42ft yacht by the owners if you fancy it!

The Pier Hotel, Kilmun
 

Sat on the Northern bank of Holy Loch on the Clyde Estuary, the Pier Hotel is a bright and cheerful establishment expertly run by Estralita and Ian Murray over the last 21 years.  Ester uses high quality produce to create interesting menus with local seafood as the basis of the dishes (well you would given the location!)  Meanwhile you will often find that Ian is away catering for the latest Harry Potter film…

DalwhinnieMost people associate Dalwhinnie with a distillery, a train station (where the train rarely stops) and frankly little else.  Dalwhinnie is however twinned with Las Vegas and also has a great hotel owned and run by Calum.  A simple but delicious menu coupled with a really friendly atmosphere makes The Inn at Dalwhinnie a fantastic place to stay and use as a base to explore the Cairngorms.

A fairly new restaurant on the scene but certainly making an impact in the locality.  Anderson’s is run by Steve and Claire who have created a fantastic eatery with a menu that is varied and changes on a regular basis.  It also has the advantage of being located in one of the most beautiful areas in Scotland, the heart of the Cairngorm National Park.

You are more likely to struggle to find a place to sit here than not!  The Kimberley seems to be permanently busy and has a great reputation as a place to both quench your thirst and get a decent honest meal.  The Kimberly will never be fine dining but nor does it pretend to be – what you will get is a fantastic fish and chips using high quality fresh local produce.  Look out for their home made steak and kidney pie.

HarrowThe Harrow at Little Bedwyn
 

A jewel in the heart of the English countryside, Roger and his team at The Harrow have created a fantastic Michelin Star restaurant.  Roger will scour the whole of the UK for his ingredients – being Welsh (and an avid rugby fan) he buys his beef from Welsh Black herds and uses Macbeth’s black pudding and haggis.  Roger however will scour the world for his wine – his significantly sized cellar is pretty much crammed with truly amazing bottles.
