We recently trialled some 5 week hung beef and made it available to those that have signed up for our newsletter, the "Coo's News". The response was frankly amazing and the 4 roasts that we had available were largely sold within 24 hours! The feedback has been outstanding with people commenting:
Beef was absolutetly superb. The fillet as one may expect was slightly stronger in flavour compared to the sirloin. Both cuts were extremely tender.
Absolutely outstanding ! Tender and moist and packed full of flavour. We can't remember having a piece of meat that we've enjoyed as much.
On that basis we shall be doing it again and I look forward to letting people know and a big thank you to my Guinea Pigs who bought some of this very special beef!! At Macbeth's we usually hang our beef for a minimum of 3 weeks and quite often nearly 4 as we think this strikes the right balance between taste and affordability. However people have different tastes as so we will try to do different things with hanging when we can.
